FEVO Card is a now-discontinued line of payment cards by EZ-Link, one of Singapore’s leading contactless payment providers. Sold in different designs, these functioned as both a payment option for public transport services in the country and a prepaid Mastercard for online and offline purchases worldwide.
While pursuing my bachelor’s degree in graphic design at Raffles College of Higher Education Singapore, I took part in the FEVO Card Art Competition. The brief was to create one or more designs based on three themes to choose from: Doodle Frenzy, Vintage Photos, and Charcoal Paintings.
The five designs with the most likes on Facebook win the competition. Each winner would not only receive preloaded FEVO cards with their winning designs on it, but also have their designs used as card variants for selling online.

Shoutout to All You Kids
Being young is all about finding and expressing oneself, living in the moment and having fun. It is a time where many people start to see more of the world with fresh, wide-eyed optimism and even learn new things along the way.
Because prepaid credit cards are marketed as a safer reloadable payment option for teens and tweens, these doodle-inspired illustrations aim to visually capture and joyfully pay tribute to the euphoric feelings that comes along with being young.
Concept
It’s How We Do...
Depicting food, accessories and gadgets floating in zero-gravity pastel voids, these digitally hand-drawn illustrations were inspired by youth internet culture and the music video for Katy Perry’s “This Is How We Do”.
Outcome
...Straight Stunting Like That
After a period of voting, the pink and blue illustrations became the two most liked entries on FEVO Card’s Facebook post. Together with three other top entries, these won the competition and became design options for cards sold online.
